SVLTMK ("we," "our," or "us") operates the ImportHelm mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app. ImportHelm is currently in a beta/early access phase, and we are committed to being transparent about our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

ImportHelm is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:

App usage data -- Information you enter into the app such as product details, tariff codes, shipment information, and cost calculations. This data is stored locally on your device only.
Photos -- If you choose to use the product photo classification feature, images captured through the camera or selected from your photo library are processed for classification purposes.
Beta access code -- A simple access code used during the beta phase. This is not linked to any personal account or identity.

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect personal financial information, social security numbers, government identification numbers, banking details, or any personally identifiable information beyond what you voluntarily enter into the app's tools.

2. How We Use Information

All data you enter into ImportHelm is used solely to provide the app's functionality to you:

Calculating duties, tariffs, and landed costs
Tracking shipments and managing compliance documentation
Classifying products via photo analysis
Generating reports and cost optimizations

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the core features of the app.

3. Data Storage

ImportHelm stores all application data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This means:

Your data resides only on your phone or tablet
No data is transmitted to external servers or cloud services
If you uninstall the app, your locally stored data will be deleted
We do not have access to your data

The app includes an optional local backend capability, but no data is sent to remote servers as part of normal operation.

4. Camera & Photo Permissions

ImportHelm may request the following device permissions:

Camera access -- Used to photograph products for the AI-powered product classification feature. Camera access is only activated when you explicitly use this feature.
Photo library access -- Used to select existing photos from your device for product classification. We do not access your photo library for any other purpose.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's settings. The app will continue to function without camera or photo access, though the photo classification feature will be unavailable.

5. Third-Party Services

ImportHelm currently does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties.

If this changes in the future, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly and you will be notified.

6. Children's Privacy

ImportHelm is a professional import management tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as ImportHelm evolves beyond the beta phase. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.

As we develop features such as cloud sync, user accounts, or integrations, we will update this policy to reflect any new data practices before those features are released.
